Description of Duties:
To reduce not operating time on factory floor machines. This involves troubleshooting maching controls (PLC & Relay), operator interfaces (MMI & SCADA), motion controls (VFD & Servos), and networking interfaces. Training & assessing mainteance staff. Spends majority of day working iwth electrical maintenance craftsman, as the lead troubleshooter.
1. NOT (Not Operating Time) Reduction for factory floor equipment (60%)
a. Troubleshoot and return equipment back into production
b. Assess local maintenance craftsman
c. Train area Electricians
d. Build in hardware/software backups for area responsibility
e. Complete user and training manuals
f. Trouble shoots current/existing systems to ensure accuracy, reliability, dependability, and consistency of data acquisition
g. Maintain Machine documentation

iv. 120v Control General Schematics
v. PLC I/I Schematics
vi. Panel Build Drawings
vii. System Interconnection Diagrams
viii. User & Training Manuals
2. Training (30%)
a. Assess electricians level of proficiency
b. Make recommendations for proper training for electricians
c. Facilitate some electrical training
3. Work closely with electrical & mechanical engineering (10%)
Candidates will need high energy, strong troubleshooting skills and strong communicating & training skills. Ability to work closely with maintenance, engineering, & production personnel. Must be able to work in coordinated and proactive manner with multiple departments integrating/utilizing vast array of technology solutions.
Participates in planning and coordination activities to ensure that goals/objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Ensures project tasks are completed as scheduled and reports results to Engineering Manager. Searches for creative ways to elevate the capabilities of systems to meet business needs.
The work weeks runs Sunday through Saturday. Applicants must be able to work either day shift or night shift. Day shift is from 6 A.M. to 6 P.M. Night shift is from 6 P.M. to 6 A.M. Firestone is a continuous operations plant.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
2 Year Technical Degree and 8 years in progressive Engineering role.
